I also like Red Raven, but I think that Progressive Galleries Lancaster location is wonderful. They have a variety of fine art and fine craft (the majority are paintings and sculpture though), mostly by Central PA artists, and I think that their community participation is wonderful. It's great space on the 300 block of North Queen Street.

I have to agree that for fine art I definitely favor Red Raven. Not only do they have Guild artists but also the Echo Valley group who I admire. If you want to see some new work that's the place too! As a matter of fact, in May they will feature an excellent local artist that has never exhibited locally before. Mike Shaw has been a renowned artist up on Cape Cod for years and his work is amazing ! He will be teamed up with Ann DeLaurentis and so its guaranteed to be a great show.

Village Artisans Gallery in Boiling Springs www.villageartisansgallery.com is a work of art filled with works of art. PJ Heyman, who's a juried member of the PGC herself, has a gift for selecting, displaying, and promoting an amazing variety of fine craft and art. The wide range of styles, prices, and media make this my go-to for every gift-buying occasion. I love the place!
