Interview on HandmadeinPA.net

Yesterday, my interview with Tara Gentile of HandmadeinPA.net ran on her blog.  It’ll give you some great information on what the Guild is and how to get the most out of your membership.  Enjoy the interview here.

Thank you for this refreshing interview. I grew up traveling to traditional craft shows with my mother (a full time rag rug weaver). My husband and I are now full time metal artists. I was thrilled to read that the Guild is embracing the, “new generation of crafters.” I do believe we have very different expectations and needs. I am thankful the Guild is recognizing these.

Kate, thanks for commenting. Both young and old have the same goal: making and selling handmade crafts. I think the means by which that is done is what’s changing so dramatically. You and your husband’s metalwork is very fresh and exciting.

This is a wonderful interview! It shows how relevant the Guild is today, as it has historically been.
